Coachella Valley Water District’s top priority is delivering high-quality drinking water that meets stringent state and federal standards.
CVWD Employees monitor the water system and collect more than 17,000 drinking water samples per year. Samples are analyzed for more than 100 regulated and non-regulated chemicals. Most tests are conducted at the CVWD’s state-certified laboratory. Other certified laboratories perform a few specialized tests.
Each year, CVWD produces an annual water quality report that documents that the drinking water served to all CVWD’s users (obtained from wells drilled into the Coachella Valley’s groundwater basin) meets stringent state and federal drinking water quality standards.
