Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) will be completing construction work at the intersection of Washington Street and Fred Waring Drive in the City of Palm Desert Dec. 15-16 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to use other routes, such as Jefferson or Cook streets. CVWD encourages drivers to use caution in the area.
The southbound number one lane of Washington Street will be closed. One turn lane for northbound traffic from Washington Street to Fred Waring will be closed.
While construction delays can be inconvenient, this work is important to CVWD’s ability to provide high quality sanitation service in the area. CVWD appreciates the patience of drivers during this event.
Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of treatment and reclamation services, regional storm water protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 108,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
