Two lanes of Frank Sinatra Drive at Highway 111 will be closed Wednesday as Coachella Valley Water District crews replace a 12-inch domestic gate valve that was broken during construction in the area.
The lanes that will be closed include the westbound turning lane onto Highway 111 and the middle lane that crosses Highway 111. The work is expected to begin about 8 a.m. and last until about 3 p.m.
There will be two lanes open during the construction but there may be delays in the area. Water service will not be disrupted during the work.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving past the construction zone and avoid the area if possible.
