The Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) will conduct work tonight and tomorrow morning at the intersection of Portola Avenue and Magnesia Falls Drive for repairs to the domestic water distribution system.
During this work, CVWD will have traffic control set up from 9:30 p.m. Sept. 16 through 7 a.m. Sept. 17. Traffic impacts will include:
Completing this work during these hours will minimize the impact to local residents and lessen traffic congestion in the area due to lane closures required for this work. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving past the construction zone and to avoid the area if possible.
The Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of directors. The district provides domestic and irrigation water, agricultural drainage, wastewater treatment and reclamation services, regional storm water protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 108,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
