A coalition of water professionals that creates tools and applied research for data-driven decisions responsive to water needs has named Katie Evans, Director of Communications and Conservation for Coachella Valley Water District, chair of its Steering Committee.
The California Data Collaborative (CaDC) is a collaborative project of cities, water retailers and land planning agencies to build new data infrastructure to ensure California has reliable water today and into the future. It includes leading world academic, tech companies and nongovernment organizations.
“I’m impressed with the work that the Data Collaborative has done since it was founded in 2016 and I’m looking forward to implementing the tasks we have planned for the next year,” Evans said. “One of my key priorities is to share our work with other water agencies around the state so they can see the value of these data tools.”
CaDC shares work through committees, workshops, webinars and the California Date Summit, the premier event on data in California water.
